Are these engines really much stronger than a quality .28-.30 engine??
Thanks

They may have more torque, but from what I hear about them they are crap. At least the Hot Bodies .46 I have not heard of anyone having a good running one. Go with a Novarossi .28 or a Collari .30 or something, that is my opinion.

i have the hotbodies .46 and now its tuned good it starts nearly instantly and idles well

When i first got my t-maxx, i thought it would be totally awesome to strap on a new era .70 conversion, just to say... now what?! But i knocked some sense into myself and settled with a sirio .27r...

the cen motors haul. i got the cen CT4S and the box says it goes 73.4MPH. I'm not sure if it actually does, but it defantly hauls! it is hard to find parts tho. i have no experince w/ the .46 cen motor, but hobbytown says they dont carry genesis stuff because the motor is too powerful for everything else the genesis has. and when u have to buy a little part, they make u but a hole kit thing and half the parts arent necessary for your fix. get the collari .30 I'm gettin one ill tell u how it is.

peace mark

Theres a saying...there's no replacement for displacement. That said...I've heard very negative things on the hotbodies...like the crankshaft coming apart...etc. The Cen 46 seems to be a good motor...but again...depends what your looking for. U wanna pull yourself in a wagon...go for the cen .36 or TT .70.......U wanna RACE...go w/ a .21 to .30...

Generally, larger motors don't reach the higher RPM's .... smaller motors reach higher RPM's but dont' get the torque and HP of the larger blocks.
