Hey all I have the older .15 maxx and I want to change the cb gear so I can get some more low end torque. I believe mine is stock 20 tooth, I was wondering what you guys would suggest for me. I dont want to go to low and possibly break something and have no top speed, what would be a good all around one for my application?

18t... 16t is too low and 22t is too high... so go in the middle and get some better punch off the line. Remember, with a gear change, you will need to adjust your shift point. (didnt we answer this in another thread???)

lmao sort of someone suggested the 18t I just wanted to get more opinions on it with the motor I have. I went with an 17 t I mostly have been runnig it in my yard and the place I want to take it I need low end power I think it will work out if not I will save up my $$ and try something different. My wife bought my the Cb gear for part of our annivesary lmao man I have a cool wife :)

I do I bought a 17 t last night from Rc boys I dont have it yet!!!!

Ok, that should do it for ya. You're gonna be stuck in first gear, so remember to change the shift point!
