Cars 2=Fail

Anybody else really really really disappointed with Cars 2?

I've never not liked a Pixar movie but it sucked in my opinion. I looked forward to it for a long time and finally got it in Netflix yesterday after a long long wait. Wish I hadnt seen it now so I wouldnt have been let down.

Yeah...it was...mehhh at best. My kids really didn't even like it much. I found mysef falling asleep through most of it so it was hard to follow though the dis-jointed parts where I was awake. The whole James Bond crap was just stupid and I will stick with the first movie.

Almost sad too imo. You love the characters so much from the first that you just know its gonna be good, but isnt. The killed the Cars movies with the 2nd one.

Yeah I think so too Lloyd....Tater was destroyed as the coolest character in the movie. His part in the movie was pointless. Pure filler just to have him in the movie. It was a wash.

Pixar having a dud was all but assured when they were purchased by Disney. I just hope they can get back on track.

Cars 2 was ok. We went to see it in 3D which was fun and the kids really enjoyed it. It was by no means as good as the first one. Cars 2 should really be called Mater 2 becuase it was really just a Larry the Cable Guy movie.

I think I would put Wall-E as a worse Pixar movie that Cars 2.

My kids loved the first one and still watch it all the time. I bought the second movie for them and they didn't even make it half way through and they were outside playing lol. I asked them the other day if they wanted to finish watching it and both of them were like nah I think I will go clean my room lol. Thats sad! Rather clean there room then watch a cartoon so I guess that pretty much settle's it IT SUCKED! LOL

Never seen either of the Cars movies, but IMO the 2nd release looked like garbage, and now is verified with this thread, thanks for saving me the trouble of seeing it.

OT- One movie I absolutly LOVED, was Lion King 3D, just for the fact it was my favorite movie as a kid and is still one of my favorites to date. And yeah, I squirted a couple tears when Mufassa or w.e dies :sad:

I definitely agree cars 1 was good In the same way iron man 1 was amazing. And cars 2 sucked the big one just like iron man 2. Another one of those movies that you hope will be good but you know will suck.

Yes and no on Iron Man 2, I thought the movie was pretty cool, but the number ONE thing that turned me off, was the black guy from the 1st was replaced in 2, any move series where characters are switched in between sequals, is about as no bueno as shweddy balls...

I saw it in the theater with my son... I just thought it was ok. I thought the story kinda dragged on a bit. I did love the message it delivered that we as humans are pretty fat lazy and wasteful.....

it's all about merchandise, the first one sold tons of toys so my guessing the sales were going down so they had to release #2 to increase there merchandise sales.

I liked Wall-E too. I havent seen Cars 2 yet and after reading this thread I probably won't bother with it.

i hated cars 2, me and the GF went to a drive in to watch it, needless to say we just fell asleep in the bed of the truck till it ended
