never again will i buy aluminum and install in on a basher truck never ever ever

i bought all these aluminum hops off fisherman this past winter and you guys seen the truck after i finished it and all that and now all the cash i laid out for this stuff is twisted and bent lol
The only thing i can figure happened to the shocks is i rebuilt them using stock shafts from my savage shocks and used 50wt oil in them which i didnt think was too heavy but i guess so i bent 3 shafts and totally screwed 2 others on 2 decent ramping trys
but anyways you guys wanted to see it dirty so here it is dirty and thrashed
:opps: :OMG:

Wow! Looks like you bent EVERY piece of aluminum on that sucker! Save that pic, so that the next newb that comes along wanting to do all aluminum hop ups, you can show them exactly why they shouldnt. You still got the plastic you took off when you put all that bling on?

the front was 2 weekends ago i kind miss judged a power pole that was cut and laying in the grass beside a football field and i hit it head on ,that destroyed the front bumper/skid
then this weekends bash session destroyed the rear and the shocks
and no i sold it all think ahh hell i wont need it i got BLING BLING all aluminum
well i bought everything needed to restore it to original for about the cost of a bumper and skid lol
the arms are hold up excellent but i will never buy bumpers and stuff again ,total waste of money

ouch!!!Why did you decide to go aluminum?

Well i was thinking that was my first brain fart that all aluminum would be the poop and with stand anything ,,HAHAHAHAAAA yeah right
i am being totally honest and wish i had video'ed this but i wasn't even 5 foot in the air and first time i hit dead on the rear and wooohhooo went the skid and bumper
then second try my son was running and he got good air and landed top down ,last but not least i tried it again and it landed on its right side

oh and 1 more thing i did the mod to the front steering knuckles to allow more seering throw ,dont do it i broke both of them 1 last weekend 1 this weekend

JESUS!!!!!! omg. were you the one who baught a used savage and had to do a rebuild of it because everything was in bad condition? if so looks like your going to have to do it again. DAMN!!!

Oh Rick! Man, that is brutal! Tell ya what, you bring your rig, I'll bring the remains of my deep fried starter box, we'll crack a couple cold ones and wonder out loud what the hell we were thinking! Man, that sucks out loud! That one shock looks like a ride at King's Island, man!

Not to rub salt in the wound, but how much of that was Integy aluminum? Just wondering because my Savage Integy piggyback shocks bent like cooked noodles first time I took it out!

Ouch brother! That's a kick in the sack with football cleats, man!

Maybe someone should post a link to this thread for one of those cooperdillion crap rides.....

lol.
it looked good while it sat on the bench ,as for anything with all aluminum
but i personally will never do it agian

i did the exact same thing with my tmaxx. I bought it and immediately put the integy evo2 all aluminum conversion on it. I flipped it on a 2-3 foot jump and snapped the rear bulkhead. Since then i have wisened up and now i run THICK aluminum skids and UE bulkheads. Everything else is RPM with an RC Solutionz cage to protect it all. i haven't had a problem since.

you're right though. They look SICK when they are just sitting there.

well guys it is back to original and even alittle better thanx to clintd and the rc-solutions cage
upon rebuilding it and removing all the aluminum i found i have a semi stripped hub on 1 of my rims and what really sux is it is a 40 series velocity rim
anyway it back in action and time to thrash the poop out of it again lol

oh and all that aluminum went to a good cause also ,a new heli (blade CP) heheee
