Hi guys,
Need some help with my slide carb. I have no idea what has happened or how to fix it.

Basically the barrel wont go in far enough to be able to do its job. I can't push it in. As you can see on the photos the barrel is not where it should be. So my question is how do I get it where it should be? (In the carb). In the first pic you can see the spring for the LSN, the metal tube/ barrel should be there, in effect hiding the spring.

I know the explination is a little blunt and newbish, so I'm hoping the pics can help me out with explaining. Although if u need more info to help, ill do my best.

cheers

You need to remove the idle screw (or loosen it completely so the valve can slide in) then align the notch in the slide valve to align with the spot the idle screw will be after the valve is slid into the carb housing. You can then install the idle screw carefully feeling the valve for in/out movement as you tighten the screw so you don’t miss the notch and damage the valve or strip the housing.
