RC Driving Style
I just got my savage broken in. I am having problems with the carburator. When I release the radio tigger from acceleration, the carb does not return to the idle setting at 2mm. It stays at about half throttle. I think maybe the plunger (or whatever it is called) when viewed with the air cleaner removed is sticking, not allowing it to return all the way back to idle. Not sure though...
 
Well guy it could be one of many things. Have you tried moving he trim on your radio back and forth to see if this is part of the problem. It could be set too far forward. Also you may try turning down the idle screw this could have something to do with it as well. If these two fail than I would take a look at the carb and maybe cleaning it up a bit since this could be the problem as well.
 
hey dude, i had the same exact problem and i wouldnt run it cuz it could be dangerous it the carb stuck and full throttle, what happen with mine was like tyou said id open it up and then the servo would release but the actual carb opening stayed open and what happens is the thing that attaches from the servo to the throttle in the carb will pull it open but not release, simply because it it not tightened enough and wont bite it, so take off gas tank(cuz youl see that it will get in the way) and then get pliers or a wrench or socket, then tighten the nnut that is on low end needle valve and its holding the servo, but first, make sure that you're the throttle is set at idle and make sure the carb opening is where it should be(pretty much closed just a little open) and then tighten it so it will be cool after that just pretty yight ya no and dont damage you're carb, I'm pretty sure thts it same thing happen to me, ok have fun with the savage! :cheers:
 
check make sure nothing is interfering with the throttle linkage and nothing is too tight and a trottle return spring would do the trick
