What is everyones opinion on carbon fiber chassis's ...are they worth the exta money ....I am not a competative racer but I like to be as fast as I can be ...thanks

P.S. Who has the cheapest prices on carbon fiber 3.3 chassis ?

they are worth it if your doing all out racing.

id take the time to swap to the stock or the chassis i use to run if i felt like tool'n around the yard.

I'm going to be buying the extended version here real soon

imo i would save your money and spend it on some better performance upgrades. the cost/benifits of cf, imo, isn't worth it.

For the price of the c/f chassis, you could add a new pipe and an OS .18tm as well as a full set of RPM arms. These are great upgrades.

well, i picked my 18thm up for a few bucks brand new, picked up a full set of rpm arms for $15 and already got a pipe. aha si I'm ready to run the CF chassis, I'm just looking for light weight.

i need to get my CF tie bar, rest of my traxxas tubes, aluminum rocker posts installed..and well thats about it for my racer revo

I wouldn't recommend the aluminum links. Try the Lunsford Racing titanium pieces. I also recommend their titanium rocker posts and the titanium rockers from Hard Core Racing.

I'm sure alot of people wouldnt recomend the aluminum links, but i also heard that the lunsfurds are heavier, and I'm heavy enough right now

i have the titanium rockers from HCR, they sit in the tool box though

too shiny

While I value Hamz opinion a bunch when it comes to advice...I have used the red aluminum rods since my purchase...I have been pushing mine pretty hard and the only one I snapped came due to a high speed impact with a metal fence post....The impact was such that it also "snapped" the front A-arm as well.....That said, I am more of an Off-roader and hill climber...construction sites, dump sites, etc. Small natural jumps, yes...But no real BIG air....That may be where those arms can be suspect....depending on how and where you drive, you may want to listen to these guys...But for me they have been fine....and I have enough spares to go around the truck again if they snap...LOL. Lunsford Titaniums will be my next purchase after these are gone though....

I found that the Titanium pushrods are lighter than the stockers and are comparable in weight with the aluminum parts but are waaaaayyyy stronger.

somehow this chassis discussion turned into a pushrod and turnbuckle discussion.

aha

I would recommend against the carbon fiber chassis. The Traxxas factory pro drivers don't even use them.

think about how much the traxxas company would be pissed off if they saw there drivers sporting a vantage carbon fiber chassis

I work at Hobbytown USA in McAllen and we have a Revo with that CF chassis. Our Revo has the Vantange chassis, pipe, tank skid, and wing. It also has all of the Tekno stuff. I like everything but the chassis. I wouldn't recomend it because its weak. Its all looks (novelty). It cracked in a race. Its still in one piece but it won't see a track untill the stock chassis is put back on.
