Carbon Fiber Chasis?

Does anyone know anything about the vantage racing carbon fiber chasis? Just wondering if it is stronger and lighter or even worth the money. What are good upgades to lessen the weight of my truck.

As far as I know...its really pretty to look at, lol. I was told by my LHS that if you were to case it hard on a jump, it would fold like paper. But don't take my word for it, try it out for yourself if you can find one for a reasonable price. Let us know how it goes too.

Yeah i'd carbon fibre other things before the chassis.
I've seen first hand, CF chassis snapped, was a massive jump and a dead on case, very hard hit but it snapped clean in half. Not sure how old it was..

Those chassis sets certainly are not for the average driver. yeah, they're light but if you're not using it for strictly racing and aren't a very good driver chances are it'll end up broken. I think it's a great product but not a good one for everybody.

i think it would get eaten up by the nitro fuel.

Nah, the gel coating they apply to the laminate is chemical resistant.
