The factory settings are completely randomly screwed in.
Turn it up ritch and keep making is more lean until it stops improving.
Do not adjust-it causes serious headaches:angry:

I find it hard to believe that Losi would let the engines go out the door with randomly set LSNs and HSNs.

Here is what they recommend in the manual: Typically, the high speed needle will need to be adjusted 2 - 3 full turns open, and the low speed needle about 2 full turns open.

And yes you will have to adjust the settings. Fuel to air mixture is affected by air temp, humidity, barometric pressure, so unless you live in a sealed bubble you'll need to make some kind of adjustments.
