Yeah, what do you mean by "off road car"? Its pretty much as "Off road" that you can get.

what he most likely referring too is mounting a car body on it
atleast thats what i am taking it as ,
and if i am not mistaken a 300mm body will cover the tires but not sure

answer is still .... no. Just throw some onroad treads (roadhawgz) and call it a day.

Yeah, whatd the jato come out like 3 months ago? Why didnt ya just buy a on road to start with? On road is meant for on road, and off road for off road, just leave it like that..lol.

Yeah, you can kinda make it on road... but why bother?!?! You could throw some street tires on it, get some stiffer springs and heavier shock oil. Then you could lower the ride hieght... Why are you interested in this?

there's a class at my local track that converts 1/10th scale ST's into oval racing NASCAR style things...they call em gearbox racers....I know there's kits for the Losi and RC10gt trucks....shouldn't be too hard to make one for a Jato......BTW that is the only class I like to watch on the banked oval......they get nasty when they race those things

Yeah, i wanna try my gt out in the oval class... The hobby shop owners wouldnt let me... they said my big block would tear up the track too much...

If you're worried about spending money on the hobby, you're in for a big headache. Closest thing you can do to get your Jato on asphalt instead of dirt and spend the least amount of money is to pick it up, place it on the tarmac and drive it. Don't worry about spending a cent.

The Jato was designed to be an off-road stadium, truck, not an on-road touring car. Suspension is not even close to an on-road design. Run it on the street if you like, but don't think it'll be an on-road or even come close to performing like one.

Diver you have to check out the class that runs at mills pond....ON-ROAD banked oval and they scream....they change the towers and shocks....that's about it.....as fast if not faster than the 10 scale electric modified class too....

yea the only way that will get it close to onroad is change it tires around and shocks

Plaid, I will look into that! Speed kills .... the wallet!

Pissant, that is true but ike seems to just want have his cake and eat it too but wants champagne on a beer budget. I may be wrong and I will appologize if necessary but that's what I have been lead to believe.

ACTUALLY.............. i kinda see the guys point, if he wants to spend £££ let him, his choice, we can only advise.

I do know that you can run an OFF ROAD vehicle "ON ROAD" but it will NEVER be a true on road vehicle, or seen as such from personal experience.

That said, i have been racing my TT EB4 S2 against a couple of buddies on tarmac, all i did was swap out the wheels for roadies, drop the suspension and fit some shck spring preload spacers to the shocks to keep it more stable. Nothing else was needed except what was supplied with the TT in the first place (with the exception of road tyres and the wheels to mount them on which i already had). Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm sure it wouldnt be hard to do the same to other "Off Road" vehicles like buggies or stad trux.

the only thing different is the type of vehicle used....keep in mind buggies are like super rally cars on steroids w/ mutated genes....I mean they are basically a road car beefed up to run offroad....I run my buggy on road like you described all the time but I tried a RC10GT and it sucked....lol....all it did was lift the front end up...now granted I didn't spend any time tweaking it for road but still it was just not fun so I stopped it.....the STs are not very road friendly....if you want to just bash on the road it would be fun, just swap tires and go....but I wouldn't expect to get a 2 class racer out of one....you need to swap too much crap to do that effectively.....

It would be cheaper if I just use my jato for two things
I paid $130 for my Rs4 3 on ebay. Thats about the going rate on there. can't beat that. Thats pretty cheap for any rc in this game. Thats what Id do, but hey, its your dough.
