Hi Guys,

Just a quick question ... I have my car running fine buit I have a question ...

should it be pulling away when giving no throttle? I wouldnt have though so from my electric days ... by no throttle I mean I am not touching the stick towards accelerate ... I have my hands off the control so to speak.

I am reading my book and believe I should be tweaking the idele adjusting screw? I screwed it clockwise and it got a bit quicker ... screwed it anti clockwise and it also seemed to get a bit quicker ... any ideas?

Thanks
Tom

also ... low end mixture screw ... my book says is to trim the air and fuel mixture in to the carb. Makes sense.

It also says thjat tje needle valve will also affect this? Well maybe not the mixture is that just the amount iof fuel flowing into the engine?

The book is right, but if you can't stop it there may be a clutch problem.
If the wheels spin while trying to crank the engine, the clutch is engaging to early for some reason. could be a broken clutch spring or a seized bearing, or possibly too light of a clutch spring.

thanks scrogg!

Another quick question ... I can seem to get it going and it goes fine then if I shut it down I can never start it again ... I seem to have to leave it for 10 mins and then it will start ...

Too hot. The carb may be aluminum and if it is, the heat will actually push the fuel back into the tank making starting very hard. Plug the exhaust stinger and try starting it, look for the fuel to make it to the carb inlet. Then unplug the stinger and it should start.
From everything you are describing i would bet the LSN is set too lean.

doesn't it have something to do with the idle speed and the carb ?? i no i had this problem aswell??

Hi there ... I fixed the problem with it moving off ... all sorted! didnt realise how much a quarter turn could affect it!

Another question ... when I give it full throttle it stalls? I thought this would be the LSN? I have it fully unscrewed virtually and have moved from all the way ion to out with no diff? Any advice?
