Hi all !!

I have a RC10T4 Brushless Stadium Truck.

Using a Lehner 1525/7 motor and Warrior 9918 ESC.

They included a capacitor of 1000uF.

What purpose does it have ??

I have access to bigger/smaller capacity versions. Will I benefit anything.

Anyone have info.??

Kind Regards

????

I'm usual into nitro racing but have seen the power in these BL systems.

I just found this capacitor and thought that perhaps some BL user had some information.

on regular motors it cuts down on eletrical noise. and i would imagine that a brushless motor has plenty of electrical noise to.

Yes I guess they do.

This capacitor has a futaba connector on it to make it possible to connect to the reciever. (I think)

Must be in the Batt. connector I guess.

Just thought I would make a post here and see if any BL users or anyone having knowledge on this.
I have seen some modified electric users solder capacitors directly on to their engines, but I got in doubt when mine had the connector on it that lookes like it is supposed to go in to the Rx.

oh man if its supossedt to be in the rx then i got no idea. but i will see if i can dig up some ifo for ya.

alright i checked out a few brushless esc's and saw that the ones with caps have em solderd to the esc. right on the pos and neg lines. but if you got a futaba conector on it theres gotta be a reason. i say stick in the bat slot and run it. or run with out it. of course I'm just geussing here but I'm a gambler so if it was mine i would do whatever it took to run until i knew for sure.

My thought was that perhaps the capacitor could help on my cogging problem (I now run with an additional humppack and have no such problem but it adds quite some weight to my Mini-T)

Also the capacitor in addition to help with cogging problems could make accellerations smoother, and take some temp away from the ESC....

Thank you for taking the time to help me with my questions.

I just think I will try and see what happens.

Regards
