Been trying to start my baja for the past 2 days with no results. tried with the trottle wide open, changed the spark plug, changed the gaz, pulled like crazy on the pull start for about 30 minutes and nothing.

I flipped it over cranked it without the spark plug to make sure it was not flooded, even use a torch to burn the fuel in the motor and still wont start.

Anyone have tricks that i could use to help me start my motor?

Thanks in advance for your help

Is the fuel line pinched under the air cleaner?

Well, an engine needs spark, air, fuel, and compression. Is the primer on the carb filled with fuel? The spark plug may spark, but did you set the gap? Is there compression? Is the air filter or exhaust plugged? Have you messed with the needles at all? Is there a sign on a leak around the head gasket or intake gasket?

Primer is filled with gaz, gap is good on the spark plug (going to buy a new one), compression is good, air filter and exhaust not plugged, did not touch the needles and there is no leak !

Perhaps the "stop" button on the engine is stuck.

I thought about that, but then there would be no spark. These engines are usually very simple to diagnose.
At this point, I'm starting to wonder about the fuel. Water in it, or just a bad or stale mix. I'd dump it, and blow out the system with alcohol and an air hose. It once did the trick on my chain saw when I was about to toss it.

Finally took everything apart and found about 1 tea spoon of sand inside the motor mix with the gaz...Might of gotten there the first time I drove the baje I found that the spark plug was not tightly screwed on.

Guess this means new motor :) 30cc...

Wow... that's a real kick in the crotch. Is it in the engine or clogging a fuel filter somewhere? I can't imagine that thing doesn't have an in-line filter on it.

If it got into the tank, and the line or filter is clogged, you're very lucky. If you had no fuel filter you have a real problem. Check the internals. you might have gotten away with it if the line is clogged.

I can see 4 deep scratches on the walls of the piston. Te dirt was inside the motor under the crank and I had some on the side walls and on the top of the piston. This is a lesson to me and all others always check the spark plug to be sure it is tight and the air filter to be sure its not letting any dirt trew...

Sorry, man. It doesn't sound good. An expensive lesson learned.
These things LIVE in the dust and the dirt. Take every precaution possible to prevent them from injesting any of it, and your engine will have a long and happy life.
