Hey, I just bought the OFNA ULTRA LX PRO .26. And when I try to start it the pull start is real hard to pull. I can barley pull it. But when I take out the Glow Plug I can pull it with no problem. I can't pull it when i have the glow plug in it. I did get it started twice , i dont know how i did, but it shuts off to quick before I can ajust anything. But WHy is it so hard to start it. The pull start dont want to move!!! please help

Use two gaskets under the glow plug and heat the engine with a hair dryer. What you have is a new engine with a tight fitting piston and sleeve. Once it is broken in, it will start much easier.

Try adding 1 additional glow plug washer so that there's slightly less compresssion. If this fails to work try starting it with the glow plug being about 1/4 turn from being fully tightened. After it starts then tighten it down the rest of the way.

Honestly good advice from the guys here. I would also ask if there is a possibility of the thing running rich?? This always winds up happening to me. Try two glo plug washers for break in it should help immensley.

You could also try simply loosening the glo-plug about 1/4 turn for the start up.

Your problem is a brand new engine and a really tight sleeve and piston. Together, you get really high compression. This makes pulling that pull starter tough. Relieve the pressure, and things should go more smoothly.

Sorry, was trying the SPAM filter. It works...can't see a single thing the Pirate writes. Had to turn it off to understand the gutter's comment.

Thanks guys, I tried a little of everyones advice, but the one that worked the best was El Pirata. Thanks. Now the only other problem that i am having now is that I can't seem to get it tuned the right way. At first it idles to high, then it will just shut off. Dumb car. lol
Well thanks guys
