ok i bought a t-maxx from a friend and it didit work so i replaced tha plug and i got it started for like 2 min or so and i havent ben able to get it started sence and i keep having to replace tha plugs so i havent messed w/ it for a whil cuz i broke my ez start contorler any 1 wanna send me 1:yes:

how do the glow plugs look?
how is the compression on the motor?

chances are it was sold because of these problems.

yeah i keep havin to replace tha plugs cuz the spring keeps smashing aginast tha side of the plug ?? and to keep it running u have to have it like almost wied open and when u set off it makes a quuuaaapooosshhh sound lol and dies:help: :n00bie:

Something is prob wrong with the motor. My buddy had the same Problems with his blow plugs pushing the coil all the way to the bottom. the LHS said the motor was shot.

same problmes didnt want to stay running.. etc.

Id try setting everything back to factory setting on the motor and start from that.

Is it a new Maxx with the 2.5?

nope .15 w/ a new sleve and piston (according to tha last owner) he said it was like a .16 or.17 now
:mex: so i dont know and i dont get any money to do aything w/ it so i guess I'm screwed.........

is their anyway i can tell if its shot or a way to fix it w/o buying a new moter??

Take it to a LHS and have them check the compresion.
search for the factort .15 setting and go from there once you get a new glow plug.

whats a LHS?? i dont have no money to get a plug right now but i will tell u when i do thanx:hi:

The reason you are going through plugs is because the rod is stretched. When this happens it tends to over throw the piston causing the plug wire to be smashed because of the explosion of the Nitro methane. Nitro has an extremely fast burn rate, and the engine must be in very close timing to keep this problem from happening. Basically the explosion is happening before the piston can reach down stroke and it must go somewhere. You need to remember it is going 30-40,000 RPM's it doesn't take much.

Also could be running very lean and the intense heat ruins the coil.

Take off the back plate and see if the rod has an egg shaped journal where the crank pin is.

my 2 cents
