Can't get rich enough?

Hello friends! I seem to be in a little predicament, I have a SH-18 on my Tornado S30 and It just seems like no matter how much I adjust I can't get a satifying sounding or smoke stream. I'm running 20% sidewinder race blend(I caught it on sale). If I richen it, it either sputters and cuts off when I give it gas or won't start back up till I lean it again. It's making good power it's just I'm worried I'm stuck at a little to lean for my liking! What should I do? oh and theres little to no smoke on idle and VERY little on run-up.

What are the outside temps and engine temps?

Engine temps are about 225

get a temperature gun. its a very handy tool to have.

check the engine temperature after good few mins of driving, if the temp is below 230 and above 180. u should be fine.

Based on temps alone I'd say it's fine, but ya never know.

About 225 is okay if it is accurate.

Did you ever seal the motor? An airleak will cause havok on keeping a reliable tune

Ahhhhhh, crap. I forgot about sleaing the engine. Will do asap. But one more thing guys, When I try to richen my HSN is there a reason on won't start back up untill I lean it? I didn't know the HSN could mess with you idle that much. I thought the idle was primarily the LSN's job?

I do have one it's just the temps are bouncing between 225-250

like he said seal the motor and start over and check the carb {seal}

You may have a partial blockage somewhere in the carb. Do you run a fuel filter?

2revo1maxx, No I don't run a fuel filter. I didn't have a chance to pick one up. Nice username btw!
