Can anyone help me this is my 1st nitro car? I was a proud owner of a LST2 till i took it out of the box and started running it.... having problems with idle speed I imagine it's operator error rather than the truck, i'm on my 6th tank of fuel and thought i'd be grinning from ear to ear by now however now coming very close to chucking it in the bin!!!! can't get the car to idle properly it just screems the nuts of the engine and wants to pull forward i've plaid with the idle screw on carb get it idling ok the when i put the shell on it cuts out adjust it slightly run the car then when it stops it starts screeming the nuts of the engine...... Still running engine pretty close to factory settings , High speed needle -- 4 turns out from bottom, Low speed needle 2turns out from bottom... What can i do!!!!!!!!!!

Check for air leaks, seal the engine carb and backplate, and adjust your idle screw to an aprox 1mm gap.
Try these ideas and let us know.

I never adjust the LSN from the bottom. I always adjust them from flush with the collar that surrounds them. Less of a guessing game and you don't run the risk of damaging the needles.

With your electronics on and your trigger at neutral, does the carb close all the way? Or, is your radio keeping it open a little bit? When at neutral, it should not be engaging the brakes, but the carb should be closed and the carb barrel should have at least a 1mm opening when you look down the carb neck.
