Hi,

I'm new to RC. Someone gave me this car. I know it's a Thunder Tiger, but I'm not sure of the model?

Also the engine runs fine and everything is spinning away, but it will not go forward?

Thanks,

Dan

Maybe your clutch shoes are broken if the clutch bell won't spin and put power to the wheels.

Does that mean I need a new clutch?View attachment 18278

Not necessarily , It may just be a simple pin in the shaft!

The shaft itself usually has a pin on the first gear hub ,then second gear runs off
of a one way bearing!

It also could be screws.
This little guy I got for free ,the manufacture forgot to screw the first gear to the hub!...LOL

If you look online, find the owners manual and dissasemble the gears and reassemble how the diagram shows.
It looks like your clutch is working or the spur gears won't be turning.
You may try to realign the the engine as it may have slipped out of place.
Just tighten everything down on the gears and just look for the obvious (i.e.) missing screws. If not your only option is to dismantle it.

P.s I had a ts4n , until I lost signal straight into a wall. :D

Hi Guys,

Total rookie error. I put one of the spur gears in back to front when I replaced the belts. Sorry guys! Thanks for your help!

Don't worry about it hopefully you can drive.
:D
