Here's my problem:
I can't get the engine in my RS4 3 SS to run right. For the first part of the tank it runs extremely slow, no RPMs at all. Maybe 10 mph, no acceleration either. At about the half tank mark, the engine picks up speed and starts to run ok. But after that happens, the temp shoots up to about 300. If I lean it out a little it in the first half of the tank, the temp just goes up sooner. If I richen it during the second half, it runs unbelievebly slow again and the temps go down to about 250. The original glow plug went out, so I replaced it with a McCoy MC-55. This plug has one more thread than the HPI one, so I thought maybe it had too much compression. I added another gasket, but it barely moved when I drove it. This is a hot plug and I can't find out what the HPI one was. I don't know if that would make a difference or not though. Everything on it is stock and I'm running 20% Traxxas stuff.
If you guys got any suggestions for owering the temps, I'd sure appreciate them.
