i know the trend for monster trucks is to have no fenders. but i'm a bit strange. lol. i'm looking for a shell that has fenders. something that will halfway cover the tires.
it has a 12ish inch wheelbase.
any ideas, fellas *or ladies?
cheers

I would think a short course based body is what you are looking for. They are usually pretty wide. Perhaps an mt sct body. The proline is the only body that comes to mind that I know of.

100% on that nissan pick up. Do the dimensions of the body itself matchup to the gorgon though?
See.. that the problem is keep running into. Overall length. And it's and expensive experiment to try.
The gorgon shell is about 17 inches long. These are all at least 19 inches long. Some even more... so... I don't know

Could always order up a sheet of Delrin. If the body is a touch too long, you could cut up some delrin to make some custom bumpers to make up the length. Heat gun will allow you to bend and mold it into a shape that will work. Delrin is very durable and a lot of aftermarket bumpers are/were made from that material.

Delrin is awesome. Also Kydex. I've used both, those & ABS sheet. All very tough. Kydex takes heat the best. Very formable w/ a mini torch. I was looking to get a heat gun, for that & shrink wrap. I'd imagine the heat gun would work better for both.

Heat gun changes everything, it’s especially useful for heat shrink. I’ll never go back to a butane torch or a lighter. I use a “OEM tools” brand I got from autozone like 2 years ago. Works awesome, 2 temp settings and hot enough to melt things if you let it. It was pretty cheap too, I think I pad less than $30.

So what I'm thinking is posting on the for sale threads and see if anyone has a 12.3 (313mm) wheelbase crawler shell that they don't want. That way I can experiment with some and see what all I'll be needing to do to make them work.
What do yall think?

Everything in this hobby is expensive, especially the experiments. I have a Datsun 510 body made for an HPI “true ten” car that I thought was going to fit my LCRacing car. Well, it doesn’t fit, it’s too narrow. That thing cost me about $50 and to top it off the paint job came out kinda funky.
I say go for it, buy a real cheap crawler body, anything 313mm wheel base will be roughly the same across the board I think.

You may be right, my man. Time to bite the bullet i think
