Can I use motor oil for my MT shocks?

I dont know about that, but i know my neighbor said he used vegetable oil back in the day for his shocks.
 
Negative ghost rider, go to the hobby shop and get yourself some of the good stuff like some # 30w oil that should get you started in the right direction.
 
No on an any motor filter. The weight is not proportioned for an RC shock. I agree with itsme...use RC use oil only.
 
Ya i wouldnt recomed using what i said before. Pluse its just a couple of bucks for a good thing of shok oil.

Vegetable oil is for cooking not your RC there is a reason they make a specific product for these rigs, because it works!
 
I believe shock oil is made of silicone:) If motor oil was made of silicone It would make it hard to get places when you spin some bearings
