Cable advice

Hey guys and gals,
I just got the Spektrum DX3S with telemetry for my Savage XL. It is a badass radio . But since I'm using an XL, the distance from my engine head to my RX box is kind of elongated. Also for the RPM/MPH and engine temp. My question is... Are there any kind of dongles available that elongate a battery like cable by about 3ish inches? Any suggestions are awsome!

If your not afraid to cut and splice, you can just go to your local auto parts store buy 2 wires and some shrink wrap and there you go.. I'm not sure if they make like extension wires that will just plug right in to the stock wires.
