Tonight I had a little left of the Byron's fuel and then finished it off. I also had a little of the Top Fuel 20% and gave it another run. The truck acted completely different, it had a hard time idling and did not want to hit 2nd gear on the Revo. I had to re tune a little but it did not seem as happy as it was with the Byron's. Not gonna run anything else from now on.

I would take Byrons over top fuel any day. My local hobby shop quit carrying Byron and Oddonnels and that's what I ran. The closest thing I could at my LHS was Black ops made with klotz oil. So far it may be some of the best fuel I have tried.

I've been using Traxxas for 3 years because thats what my LHS carries now, works just fine for me.

Does anyone here run the VP fuel? How is it? I used to run VP in my street bikes when I raced, since they make race gas< I would think that there nitro would be pretty good.

I love vp 25% had 6 gallons ran hard and strong as soon as I ran out I went to what my lhs had odonnels and one way started slipping and it sucks compared to vp at least IMO

These threads are all over the internet. Some people hate top fuel i use 20 percent with no issue. My issue is Traxxas makes it like you HAVE TO USE THERE FUEL WITH THERE MOTORS. Now that is not fair, i buy it based on the local guy sells it and i have used it for years . Say what ya want about what fuel you uses but i rather have top fuel then no fuel. Right? lol

My buddy runs top fuel and he likes it, I think its because he gets some kinda discount at the LHS he is close to where he works. If I could still get it Byron's or Odonnels is my choices. Unfortunate my LHS only carries a couple diff brands now. I really like the black ops 20% nitro oil I think is 12% maybe 10 can't remember. But it does seem to run really nice through all my rigs and I have noticed it is way easier to tune on and seems to hold the tune well with the Black ops!

The Byrons that I had was 20% 12% and my truck loved it. It is dialed in with that fuel. I ran about 1/4 tank of top fuel before I stopped it and just pulled the rest of the fuel out of the tank.

Well I went down to the LHS this morning and they did have some Byron's in stock, the normal 20%, 12% but it was $14.99 a qt. So I looked at the VP and it is %20, 9% and it was 29.99 for a gallon. So I picked up the gallon and so far I have a tank of the VP thru it and am pretty pleased. The truck does run a little warmer, it is between 250 and 260 degrees where before it was between 230 and 245. The truck seems to be pleased with it! Its also 82 degrees today so I am blessed with nice weather.
