I’m new on this, I want to buy an on road rc nitro car of about USD200-300, help me deciding what to buy, which brand is best, and what are the most important characteristics I have to look at.

thanks

A few questions for you..

Are you planning on racing or just driving it for fun?
Do you have a hobby shop near you?
Do they sell kits and parts for a particular brand?
I assume this is your first car? So you have no other equipment yet?

The middle questions are just to suggest that you will want to consider a car that is easy to get parts for. You will break it at some point. And it's a drag waiting for parts to come in.

As far as the best, I don't know. HPI has some pretty good cars from what I have heard. One of the most important things to look for is support, does your local hobby shop stock common parts should something break, can parts be found with ease on the internet. Another thing to think about is where you plan to run, the street isn't the safest place, parking lots as good if there are no cars to run into "usually". Do some reaearch at your local hobby shop and any race clubs in your area, good luck with your search.

Yeah parking lots are usually safe....until you lose radio control and it takes off full speed and out of the hundred or so feet it manages to find the 1inch pole.....
