So I get the hyper 8 broken in. Enjoying the killer power. Man does that thing have some torque. And good top end. It's so much more better than the crappy stock engine.

Anyhow, all of a sudden i'm busting some killer wheelies! This's almost completely untuned. Then the truck ends up being upside down. Notice the front wheels aren't moving. Damn, lost a dogbone. Now I gotta get the CVD's. But i'm broke. I think i'll get them online.

told ya about those DB's. If you find the busted bone, it makes a neat flathead screwdriver for tuning the HSN after you dremel it down a bit. I have 2. I'll post one on eBay if anyone is interested.

Yeah I knew about the dogbones. I've looked at online prices for the just the front center CVD replacement and it should be under 20 bucks at the hobby shop. I'll probably just replace parts with hop-ups when things break. Hey, does this count as a broken part?

Oh yeah, I has some serious crashes, it was sick. I had the truck going end over end and nothing happened. With the hyper 8, the truck is almost too fast. It actually takes driving skill to really drive the truck to it's full potential.

just replace them all, it'll save time and gas. I was breaking the center rears. Once you upgrade one DB, it'll only put more stress on the others, until you break them all.

ok, just a suggestion. Get the replacement, and be gentle with it until you get all the HD DBs, then beat the snot out of it. I know it's tempting, but fight the urge......

As long as the one CVD will hold up, i'm cool. Cuz I can just replace the other DB's as they go out.

I'm with you on that one, i upgrade/replace as i break them, so far i've only broken 1 dogbone and replace both rear with hd db...and yesterday, i went bashing and one of my rear wheel came off and lost my hub so i ended up replacing all four with the screw-on type hub...when you're budget-conscious, you gots to stretch those dollars :wedgie:

Welcome to RC. I wonder why rich people don't play with RC stuff?

cuz it adds up when you're paying someone to fix your rc's for you
