This may sound dumb. But would doing a burn out be a dumb thing to do wit my truck. How bad could it be to hold it back and give it the gas and just let the tires spin. One of my friends want to see if the tires will smoke.lol

Yes it's dumb
No they won't smoke like real tires, unless you soften them up...
and you will kill your clutch shoes

Holding your car back and reving it up to do a burnout would do a number of things.... it would obviously chew up your rubber, put undo stress on the drivetrain, overrev the mill just to name a few.... Unless it is a really crappy RC I wouldn't do it... but that is just me... Good luck my friend.

LOL!
It's yours to do what you want with it.
But I would take their advice and avoid doing that.

I got a little bit of smoke from traxxas t-maxx tires that i had on my maxx, but hey it's a t-maxx,who cares..

how about donuts i do them a lot in the dirt

Donuts in the dirt, snow, mud, sand, gravel, anything that is considered loose traction, are not a bad thing to do...but you will tend to wear down the tires and chuck a bunch of crap up under the shell...so clean up well afterwards and make certain you didn't bust anything while doing the donuts.

if you REALLY want to do a burn out thats if you have a 4wd car or truck just take out the rear dog bones that do to the wheels. this will give you only front wheel drive only. all you have to do is gun it and the front tires will like crazy. but this will depend on the tires your using and the surface.

i did this with my hpi nmt when i finish a complete break in and had it tuned. i had a set of on road tires and i can on the street. i was getting ready to do a run up and down and when i hit the gas the screw that held the dogbone connected to the spur gear broke of something giving me only front wheel drive. the front wheel spun like crazy doing a bun out with out me having to hold the car down in place. i only did this for like 5 seconds though then i turned it off to make it rear wheel drive.

Let the tires soak in oil overnight and then pour oil all over the spot where you want to peel out
