My old electric buggy had a bumper that looked like an angled hammerhead shark. Stuck out about 10cm and was wide enough to cover the front of the front wheels.

This allowed the buggy to ram kerbs and to just pop up them using the bumper as a ramp.

New buggy has no such thing and I fear the first kerb it hits will be broken sus.

Can these be bought as add ons?

... ho ho... and that's exactly what did happen to it! Bumper wouldn't have saved it though :(

The old buggy was a Tamiya something, Firebird or some such. New one is a 1/8th scale nitro, Ansmann Vapor.

The reason 1/8 buggys don't have them, is to protect race marshals. Imagine getting hit in the face by a knife edged bumper......:whhooo:.....It's a little safer to be hit be a relatively soft rubber wheel.
