i just rellized how much i hate the front bumper on the t-maxx. The way it is set up. It has no way of asorbing the shock rom a crash or a small bump. the screws are disroid when there is some contact with the front bumper. I was thinking of a way to solve this.

Lets say you have a 2 rod s. At one end is a hinge. where the bumper conects to the holster / thing you would atch the one end with the hinge using thoes screws. The at the other to a spring the spring with a rubber pad of some sort. Same for tyhe other rod. They are atched to the same pice of rubber. as you hit an object the ruber wicome in contact with the object. when this happens the force will want to make the arms bend. insted the spring will exspand and the rod will move to the side and the hing will kepp the rods from binding. So the impact is asorbed into the springs not the screws.

Of cours you just atache spring inbetwen or infron of the bumper

what do you think

personally i hate both the front and rear bumpers. so i made a great way to solve it. TAKE THEM OFF!!! LOL:thumbup: sure works for me.

i agree but the srews help hold to gether the bulk head and it helps to protect your car so i realy don't want to dump it.

I think the bumpers which are a straight line instead of curved are cool. I've seen them soak up every nose dive, I would get the ones from RcTrickz. There bout 30 dollars for two if I'm not mistaken. There aluminum and straight lol. Adio'z

Just use shorter screws and ditch the bumper mounts. Then you wont lose the bulkhead support.

Ther eis a guy in Germany selling spring loaded bumpers. I can't find the site now, but I will look.

I made my own and they can take on a brick wall. Well, they have taken on a concrete wall at almost top speed. Had a bad throttle issue the day after I installed them.

Don't laugh, it works:

I was told that you were supposed to tighten the screws then back them out a 1/4 turn. That allows flex in the bumper supports and works pretty good. I also use RPM bumpers. They have saved me more than once.

I just ordered the spring steel skids from RC Solutions last week. Still waiting on them to come in. They seem to operate kind of wierd. I got the receipt in the mail but no skids yet... first place to ever do something like that. Usually the receipt comes with the product.

Anyway, I'll report on how they hold up with my rubber bumpers.
