I just installed a Tekno wing mount kit on my Revo 3.3. Should I put the bumper back on also?

I did, mainly just for looks since my Revo doesn't have reverse, i doubt I'll bounce it off the rear bumper much. If you still have reverse then I would definitely put it back on.

yes i always kept my back bumper on. just in case you hit a little rock thats smaller than the wing. and for looks cuz i used alum bumpers. but i sure do think its a good idea to keep it on. for sure

Thanks for the reply. I don't have reverse, but I'm gonna get the Aluminum bumpers. Any suggestions?

Cut top loop off factory bumper

Let's face it, you're not going to do anything with the old one anyway, save your pennies, take a dremel, (i used a good knife) and cut that top loop off the bumper and throw it back on. Not only is it a little added protection but it significantly strengthens the wing mount.

My suggestion is dont. Aluminum bends, plastic flexes. Take cptvkirk's advice cut the top of the old one and slapper back on. And if you thin that just because you don't have reverse you're not going to hit the back of the truck, you've got another thing comin'.

Putting the bumper back on was a great idea and thanks again guys. It sure does make that wing a lot tougher. Putting a wing on my Revo should have been the first thing I did.

+1 on wing being nearly first recommended mod. Relatively cheap and saves the body a LOT. Wish I'd have done mine sooner. As it stands now...it helps the glue hold what's left of my body together pretty well.

Amen to that, I second the motion !:D
