Building a Maxx from scratch

I'm going to build a maxx from scratch. I'm looking for feedback on what may be the best chassis and big block combination.

I like the Hardcore Racing Chassis for the .21 conversion. Alum can't touch Ti IMO. HCR really makes some nice stuff.

I hate to be the one to tell you but your looking at 1000.000 minimum to build a STOCK Maxx from scratch. Your more in the aria of $2000.00-$3000.00 for a nice one.

Not $200, but around $2,000 or so. I should have been more clear. I'm getting close to $1,6-1,800 on my sirio maxx.

Cybermaxx, UE and HCR all look good to me.
I'll assume each one has it's own advantages.

Anyone care to comment on big block power plants? I hear good things about ofna/picco rb concepts, siro, rossi, os and a host of others but I have no real hands on exprience with the larger blocks.

Either a 8 port Race version or a picco .26

I've heard the the the outlaw 26 does not live up to the expectations of an engine that's almost a full cc larger than previous engines.

The 8 port I have seen in actions and aside from a fairly easy to fix carb leak, the thing rocks.

Does anyone else here that has a Picco .26 think that? Seriously! I want to know!

You can't go wrong with the Sirio or Rossi (you get what you pay for here!), the Hyper 8 and Picco .26 are the lesser expensive high power mills, and again, you get what you pay for. For certain, the power is there, but, tuning can be a bitch. Not for the newbie by any means IMO.

The new O.S. that just came out looks like the next big block I will buy. Slightly less HP than the Picco .26, but, its an O.S.. And by far, any O.S. will treat you like a king. All the way around

on the diff situtation, i believe the maximizer, shimed right with some cheapy alum cases would work just fine. i perfer the no pin for the spyders over the pin used in the kippster.

I appreciate the wealth of info. Anyone know where to go to get engine specs or maybe actual test result info on big blocks?
I'm leaning towards the Cybermaxx and the Mutantmaxx. Maybe I'm blind but??? where???do the body posts connect to the Cybermaxx's chassis???????

I have experience with Sirio's owning 2 of them and if you want some insane power from a quality Italian engine the I would get the Sirio .27

You should check out e-bay and get a built one for cheap. Take it and change what you need to make it your own. You'll save alot of money that way. I have about 4k into my complete unlimited engineering supermaxx and I'm going to sell it but I know I'll only get 1000-1500 for it. If I do it again I will go the more financially reasonable way.

On the CyberMaxx the body sits directly on the cage. The cage has small mounts with a hole in them for a clip.
If you look at the photos in my gallery you will see what I'm talking about. Here is a photo that shows them. It also has body mounts on the side to keep the body tight to the cage. One caution, you will need to hack a stock body to fit.
