I've gotten pretty well through my first set of tires on my buggy and I'm pretty confused trying to shop for some replacements for it. Here's what the manufacturer says is on it:

Tyres: 96x52mm (Block)
Wheels: 56 x 49 mm

Basically, I'm looking for a harder (longer lasting) tire that has a tread that will stand up to both pavement on off-pavement use. Any suggestions and assistance would be much appreciated!

Joe

thats going to be hard to find a tyre that works good on road as well as off... The only tire that comes to mind are the Proline Knuckles. They tend to hold up prettly well. No ofroad tire will last too long on pavement though.

So I pretty much need to go with two sets?

I'm still a little confused on picking out the correct sizes based on the specs I listed above.

What size/kind of tires are those on your buggy?

Joe

Well I've bastardised the hell outta my buggy because uts hard as hell to find kyosho parts by me. That and I'm impatient as hell...SO I have a bunch of Ofna parts on it as well as some Storm braces n stuff...

"I dont suggest this" but the tires I have on in the pic are Ofna dominator 17mm wheels with Ofna MT Tires.

What kind of buggy do you have.....all you have to worry about when it comes to wheels is the size of the hub or hex nut. 17mm, 14mm, 19mm....once you figure that out its easy to find wheels/tires. there are tons of them out there for buggies.

From what i can find it looks like you can use any old 2.2 wheels. You may want to take the buggy to your LHS and try to match up some wheels. HPI makes some nice 2.2 wheels for pretty cheap.

personally, i think you can't go wrong with proline tires, they generally durable, and offer great traction
