Hey guy, take this as a little help......I bought an Ofna Ultra Lx Comp and had it 2 weeks and if it could go wrong it did. I was lucky to dump it for $250... Before I bought it my other buggy buds told me don't buy an Ofna and I refuse to listen but if I can tell you anything it would be don't buy an ofna. I since then bought a hot bodies Lightning rr like my friends have and buddy let me tell you it is the next best thing since sliced bread (for bashing at least not comp. racing) Parts at the hobby shop are cheaper it's better made and more durable....................Runs like a scalded dog.

Actually, don't listen to what this guy just said. Ofna makes great products. Just because one person had a hard time with their ofna buggy doesn't mean that ofna sucks. I have a Hyper 7 PCR Edition and I have only put about $25 into it and I have 7 gallons through it. Now that we have negative biases out of the way....How much are you looking to spend? What do you plan on doing with your new buggy, Race? Bash? Ofna makes great buggies with a price range from $350-$500, kyosho has great stuff, mugen, XTM, GS Racing. It all depends on how much you want to spend and what your LHS has for spare parts. So give us some more info and we can help you some more!

YUP YUP Vbagnon hit that dead center. One persons opinion shouldn't be the deciding factor. I also have the Hyper 7 series PCR PRO edition and I love my buggy!! Runs strong very durable and can be a racer or basher. I also have a GS Storm that I am fixin up. That is my second storm. I let the other one go but I have another one

What do you intend to do with the buggy?

I run a Kyosho K3 and its durable, I know this because I suck at driving and I race every weekend. If there is something solid on the track to hit it I hit it. The K3 is a expensive buggy but to me it was worth it. Two of the fastest drivers in my area run a Ofne Hyper 7. It seems like a nice buggy for the price. I am going to buy my 9 year old son a buggy for xmas and I may be leading towards Ofna.

I say go for either a Kyosho or Mugen buggy or a Storm. All great buggies!

I am also not a big fan of OFNA's. But hey thats just me.

I run 2 Ofna PBS buggies and they are tough as hell. I have run these things hard and they just keep coming back for more. The hyper 7 series are a great buggy.

You can't really say which buggy is better....Every vehicle has it's strong points, and flaws. I've been in the hobby for 20 years, with a variety of cars....I have only recently bought my first 1/8 buggy....The factors should be: How much do you want to spend?...Then compare features within that price range. Do a little research, besides asking opinions. As I said, NO car is perfect...so something will have to be upgraded/ strengthened....As far as maintenence, if you have a question, ask someone here...we don't have any monetary gain, like hobby shops do.
Also, look into mail-order...you might get more car for the money you have to spend.
Good Luck.

I've got 2 kyosho buggy's! A Kanai II, and the new MP777 with a Kanai Sirio Evo II. Both of them are great buggy's! I suggest you spend your money right the first time. Pick up a nice kit, either X-Ray XB8; Kyosho Kanai III; Mugen MBX5. Get something good, that has alot of aftermarket support. That is why I went with Kyosho. Part's are mostly interchangeable, that way I can always have a buggy to run. I got tired of trying to build my SuperMaxx, and went to buggy's! They are so much more fun!
