buggy drift

would it be ok if i took off the front drive shaft on my buggy?? i want to do a little drifting on gravel...i know it works if i have all 4 wheels spinning but you still dont get enough slide and when you come out of a slide it does it too fast...I'm just asking cause i have a feelin the center diff will get wrecked or the engine might over rev....i dont want to lock up the front diff cause then i can't unlock it so ill have to buy a new one :\ is it ok?

the ones i use for everything lol...the treads are good on road off road and for drifting...

Without that center dogbone, the buggy will sit and spin... You're better off to get some really heavy diff fluid (around 100k) and put that in the front diff.

then how will i get the fluid out? i just need 2wd for only a day...i know some people who drift with "drift" nitros soo i wanna go up there and make fun of them and drift with my buggy! ill just tape up the tires..

Just open the diff up (like you would to fill it), and clean it out. A little bit of fuel will help make it flow a little easier when you clean it out. Wipe all the parts dry, then reapply grease/fluid of your choice. Don't forget the shims.

If 100k doesn't do what you want go thicker but that should work good. Putting some tape on the tires should really make you drift.

i just came bak lol those cars can really drift! at first i tried driftin without puting tape on the tires and it drifted but not so well..so i taped up the back tires and it was drifting away.. i had to adjust the steering thingy so it doest too much lol i had a blast! i didnt even touch the front diff and it drifts...what will happen if i did well my friend wasn't that good of a drifter lol he gave up and just did donuts and high speed runs...but his friends were experts they would drift around chairs and walls its crazy! too bad there was no smoke coming out of the tires! that would of looked cool!
