Is this a good fuel with your past expierences? I am a basher looking for a good fuel that'll keep my engine running for a long time.

I've used Byron's exclusively for the past 2 years and it has worked perfectly for me.

I use Byron (B-Y-R-O-N'S) only. I switched about 9 months ago. It runs cooler, holds a more consistent tune and provides a decent fuel economy.

I have to add my kudos to Byrons as well! Jetmech turned me onto it at a race in March when my Hyper 7 PCR was running like crapola! At the time I was running Trinity and I could just never get the engine tuned long enough to make a difference.

Finally, he put a tank in and it was like a whole different buggy! Great stuff and it's all I run now! Problem is, I cannot get it from any LHS here locally!

see what the top runners at your track are running....fuel is as much climate sensitive as your tuning is....I like byron's here in S Fl.. but when I go upstate near GA it runs like ass but the maxy's ran great.....I did remember having to be more on top of using ARO with Byron's or my pistons started to get that not so smooth feeling really quick...but that's more from me not using ARO every day I ran than the fuel I'm sure...

Me + Byrons = No ARO ever, I run once to twice a week. I had one motor I had sitting in the box for prolly 3 months and it's fine.

love it!

i use both the 30% and 40%

absolutely no problems with both.

What did you switch from?

I recently started running byrons as my LRP28's manual recommend 25% nitro. My LHS only had trinity MHP 20% and monster brew 20%... They had odonnels, traxxas and byrons. The only one they had that was 25% was the byrons.

The odd thing was that it was cheaper by $2 than the trinity MHP 20%.

Seems to run really good in my LRP28 and my 18TM. I have almost a full gallon of it through the LRP and it tunes pretty easy, holds a tune, fires right up and runs pretty cool (210F-235F). I ran a couple tanks through my 18TM, but I have a gallon of trinity to burn up... that will run my 18TM for quite some time then I'll just use the byrons for both.

The local hobby shop just started carrying the Byrons......lots of requests....I will use up what I have of the Trinity and switch over.

Besides I will need the 30% for my new Buggy...Thanks Monkey!!

Interesting to hear no ARO for you Jet....I will try that......is because of the high oil content in the the Byrons????

Just curious what your thoughts are, as I am religious about the after run procedure...but if I can safely cut it out..I am happy to do so.

It may just be the oils and additives they use, not necessarily the precentage. I get Byrons cheap too, pays to have a friend that's a dealer. Most guys running at our track use it.

My lhs convinced me to get o'donnels 25%. Anyone have any pros and/or cons

Burns eyes!!!! Some of the worst fumes on pit lane. I know a lot of guys that use it or are sponsored by them but I can't take the fumes.

I second Odonald is stroung smelling stuff. My friend uses it when we bash and it takes away from the sweet smelling Bryons. I personally am a huge fan of Bryons. It smells good, good temp and tune controll, and like mentioned before, I never use after run oil.

Bryson

Jet, my brother from another mother! Anyway you can score me two or three gallons of the "good stuff" to bring with you to the race on the 21st? I'm down to a half-gallon! I needs my fix, MAN!!!!!

I will get ahold of Romer, I need to get two cases myself. I wa happy to see your name on the list. Now, how about Joliet?

damn....I always seem to get this greenish color on the piston and it felt rough in the sleeve....I don't run that often now but when I used Byron's I ran 3-4 times a week like a junkie gettin his fix on.....
