Hello all. I'm really new to rc cars. I have a Traxxas Stampede. It's an ok little truck. I have heard lots of talk about brushless systems. Could someone educate me on brushless systems. What is good, what is not. I'm sure like everything, it will have a lot to do with how I use it. I just mess around in the yard with my kids. The brushless systems that I see on the internet are FAST. I'd like to be that fast. Can anyone help? Also, what would I have to do battery wise? What would people remmend?
Thanks

Do you have the newer XL5 Pede? If not, you should look into the Traxxas XL5 ESC with the Titan 12 Turn motor. My son has both the Pede and Rustler and the 12 turn with stock gearing and a 6 cell batt is plenty fast. Install a different pinion and go up to 7 cells and you can gain even more speed out of it.

If you are dead set on brushless. Take a look at the offerings by Mamba and Novak. Be prepared to pay more for the brushless system than you did for the truck.

Yes I do have the XL5, and yes it's pretty quick. I would like to know as much as I can about the brushless systems also. Thank you for the info that you did give.
