i was running my new savy today and the battery is only having enough charge for one tank, so i called my friend and he said the pack was going bad,( all his of that brand did too) and not too run the truck until i got a new back. i am just wondering what packs are good quality for the money and how long should i get off it in my savage.

The Savage is a pretty heavy truck, and the steering has to work pretty hard. I have a Venom 1400 in mine.
That should get you some real run time.

I have a 1200 in mine. Although I haven't actually timed it, I've ran 2-3 tanks a day on weekends and charge it about every other weekend. The higher mAh battery will last longer.

I have a OFNA 1600mAh Ni-Mh and i have gone through a gallon without even realizing any drag in the steering and my savage is HEAVY!

i use a trinity 1600 in my savage, seems to work, i have two venom packs that seem to last forever in my LSP and nitromt
oh, and its milliamps, lol

thnaks guys I'm gonna get a new pack sat, and wanted to know.

do i have to cycle it?
