I just got a '73 bronco body from hpi for my savage ss. I want to paint it ; red and black( like see on the site) yellow and black or blue and black. I really dont know what color to paint it so if you could help me out please do.
 
I think any of those 3 will look nice. Personally I like the yellow/black idea. But then again, I'm a sucker for bright colors. Just go with what moves you.
 
Ok this is my first body ever that i painted and done. So dont laugh it is a good bashing body. If you are wondering why the front are street and the back are off road tires it is cause i just got them and i wanted to show the differnce place i got the wrong pair of tires for the other times

That looks very nice dougc. The bronco body is the next one I was thinking about getting. Did you do that with a rattle can?
 
Yea, and for it is was very had to mask, But i think the roll bar part was the hardest. that is why it is black. Plus they wants to much from chome and they didnt have silver. I think next time i do a body i am going to use liquid mask lol.
 
Yeah, spraying that rollbar is a pain. I tried some liquid mask, but I didn't have an easy time with it. Once ya clean the inside of the shell, the liquid masking really sticks to it. On the last bronco shell I did, I used testors masking tape. Once ya stretch it, it reoes around curves pretty good. The hardest part about the bronco is the dea flat windows and getting the masks on them just right. Anyway, I'm kind of partial to a deep yellow and white top/rollbar with a black rear deck. That's only because my family has a '70 bronco that is those colors and it's been a part of my life for a long time.

Also, the bronco makes the savage look more proportional and just bigger in general, moreso than the pickup shells.
