broken parts

Has anyone had trouble with the rear knuckles? I have had two of them break in a months time. Be carefull when buying new ones traxxas makes two different ones and they look the same. For the new 5309 part #is 5334r. I seen people on Ebay pay over $20.00 for a set because it says it fits the platinum model.Be sure you look at the part breakdown on your model and you will find out that some of the part # are the same. This might save you some cash when buying parts.

The 5334R ones are better due to the fact that they run larger bearings on the outside. Might be something I'd look for over the other ones.

I found this out too recently when looking for new bearings for my slayer. Although, my slayer has older carriers on it and doesn't match the manual (bought it used).

Although, my slayer has older carriers on it and doesn't match the manual (bought it used) My lhs swears that the 5334 will work on the new 5309 ,i had to show them that the bearing would not fit these knuckles. Shows you that you have to be carefull and your own research sometimes to get the correct parts.

the 5334 should work its just the bearings that are different. Everything else is the same size arent they?

Pretty sure. It's just tagged as an upgrade for the platinum revo.

Unless you want to shell out more money for bearings buy the correct 5334r knuckle for the 5309 revo.
