hey guys , The problem started with me landing on the rearend and jamming the pipe up into the engine, bent the header pipe and took out the engine mount. Besides the fact i need to learn how to drive, is there any options as far as moveing the pipe,or aftermarket mount for the engine?I am doing away with the easy start sys. to go with the pull start, that would give alot more room for a side mount pipe if it exist . I havnt got a clue as to what to do , any ideals?

Thanks

you must have had a realy bad crash. in a deal like youv got some times you want something to give way, but maybe not a motor mount. i dont know what car/truck you have. but i have a t-maxx and to hold the pipe in place, i cut a piece of hard rubber and put it between the pipe and radio box held by tire glue. some times you have to think outside the box.

Guessing it's a revo since your suggesting a rear exhaust and an ez-start.

A lot of guys get a wing. Not certain how much that helps keeping the rear tower/body mount from being jammed into the header though.

I'd think the jato pipes would work well considering their orientation in the jato. You will have to figure out a pipe hanger, but it's a bit of a squashed pipe so it won't stick out too bad. That pipe:

with this header should work ok:

I want to say I got that pipe off ebay for around $20 shipped when I snagged one for my jato.

yes it is a revo sorry over looked that detail lol. Those pics looks as if it would make it into a side exhaust olds97 , that should cure the problem i would think . Thanks

and no it wasn't that bad of crash i just landed on the rear end and pipe =(

No problem. You asked for a side pipe solution which is why I elaborated a bit.

Those parts should work with a little bit of effort. I'd highly suggest drilling an extra hole in the header flange on the header so you can mount two springs to help support it better. That's what I do on my rigs. Not to make it "tight", but to add two more points of contact to help it not flop around so much.

Like I said though, many guys just go with a wing mounted to the rear tower. I'm not 100% sure how that helps the issue you had, but I had the same issue when I had a revo and went the side pipe route with my big block.
