Broke my motor mount the other day, What one should I replace the stock one with ?

thanks

A machined aluminum engine mount. Hardcore and other people make them... i think Nova even makes some... New Era makes some too... the list goes on...

If you need a stock one I have one I can send to you. I have no Maxx's so its yours. PM me if you want it.

as with any other part on a maxx.. if you break it replace it with t-6 aluminum.. one of my bash buddys broke 3 motor mounts in 3 months he replaced with t-6 and its held ever since.. there on ebay for like 30 or so bucks..

New era's is really beefy. I bought one, had it on hand, then sold the maxx, but I traded it in on savage stuff. It was nice though.

Don't get integy's or the traxxas one. I've had both, the threads strip easily.

Since I'm not a basher I will try another stock one for now to keep the cost down. If I break another one I will get the one beason mentioned on Ebay.

thanks

You will break the stock one again... I broke mine 4 times before i finally realized i need to upgrade... Switched to a machined one, and never broke again...

I don't even bash I and have replaced A-arms,bulkheads,skid plates and bumpers. still have bent shocks and lots of bent screws. But It is adictive and like to buy parts for it when the wife lets me.

I broke 2 and decided it was time for an upgrade.. I wasn't even bashing when 1 of them broke, just happend to hit it right (or wrong) on a rollover.

It's cheap insurance, when mine went it also took out the fuel tank, spur gear, and bent the transmission input shaft.

When you get the $$$ invest in a roll cage for it.

I was wondering, theoretically speaking, if the engine case is made out of the same stuff the stock mount is. Could having a stronger engine mount increase my chances of breaking the mount on the crankcase?

I replaced mine, even though it was fine. I just wanted to upgrade. Just a concern of mine.

I have a full roll cage.

When I took it apart One of the screws and foot of the motormount were missing. I would guess My first runaway cash I had broke the motormount and never cought it.

I'd rather not test the theory, but I don't know if there is a crank case that isn't cast aluminum... Although, a billit crank case would be sweet though! Probably run cooler, flex less... hmmmm.f
