broken header

well i took the revo out and when i got back i noticed the header was cracked where it meets the engine , this isnt good i gues, any ideas of some better exhausts or stroonger headers?and one more thing , my rocker srcew that connects to the chassis broke in half when unscrewing impossible to get it out , it hapened to the bothe sides in the back , any ideas?

just buy a aftermarket combo, header/pipe, thats what i would do.

I would buy the header Mr T-Maxx has for sale on this site. It is a quality header that will stand up way better then the stock one, you can use it with the stock pipe for now, the stock pipe is pretty good on the traxxas engines, herer is a link to T-Maxx sale, I have not dealt with him before, but he seems reputable.

That's a great header for the revo. For $15, it's a steal! They are $40 at tower.

I used the one from my 18TM (like the one above) with my 2.5R revo and it worked just fine. Since it mounts with a spring instead of bolts, the springs will flex a little bit and absorb shock from landings or impact. Although, with as well as OS makes a header, I think you would have a mildly difficult time bending or cracking it regardless how it was mounted.

If you do buy it, you should buy some header gaskets. The ones on the revo aren't made to deal with a header of this type.

Ya they tend to break alot. I've gone threw 2 and said screw it. Now I'm runing the trinity pipe and header combo and love it. Mind you it loud but performance more than makes up for it.
