When I went to flip over my t-maxx I stepped on the antenna and it ripped the wire off about 2 inchs above the receiver box. I know in the manual they say not to cut the antenna wire, so can i get a new one? Or will it just shorten my range a little bit if the wire is now 2 inchs shorter?

Honestly...i did the same thing with the savage and had 3'' left. I took a piece of wire lying around and i put at the end of of my 3in long antenna. it works fine. but i would not recommend driving it with no fail safe...just in case...U KNOW!!! $ $ $=devil

yeah you can pick up for rx wire at ur lhs and solder it on just make sure ur fairly good at soldering it in fact i have just had to do the same with my maxx reciever

My Maxx's antenna got ripped about 4 inches from the end. I just twisted the wires together and wrapped electrical tape around it. I have no problems with range. It glitches sometimes but I think that has less to do with the wire than outside effects (that's why I'm buying that Airtronics radio)

Thats what i did today while i was in my backyard, but I don't really trust it anywhere else. Will a 25 watt soldering iron be sufficient?
