when getting ready to bash today i was doing my pre run inspection making sure everything was good and tight and such. i noticed i broke a lower front a arm. i am going to buyall new for the front axle carriers included. any suggestions on good upgrade from stock would be great. i have heard a great deal about rpm. a lot of good not to much bad. let me know what you all think. thanks:)

I ran RPM arms and axle carriers on mine for a couple years. Only broke a couple and that was due to casing a jump at WOT. The arm would flex so much that it would crack and snap the axle as well.

yup i am going with rpm a arms and axel carriers up front and rpm tru tracks in the rear. thanks for the input.

what does the tru tracs actually do for it? should i replace the rear when i do the front or can i just do the front for now? thanks.

I better let someone else take this one. I have never broken anything in the back....

I am a firm believer in don't fix it till it's broke. Or fix it till it's broke. One of them I can't remember which one i live by. I will get back to you one that one. :D

But up front oh boy lol

i am going with the rpm's. i am gonna do the front since right side lower is broke. i will wait till i break something in the rear to put tru tracs on. :)

Oddly enough, the two RPM arms I broke were the rear arms. It wasn't from a direct impact either time. It was the inertia of the weight of the tire bending the arm so far when I hit the face of a jump (imagine a dart hitting a dart board at 40mph).

I'm guessing that since the front tires are able to contact the earth at near the same time as the front bumper/skid, that the arms didn't have a chance to flex as much. But, since there was nothing to stop the rears from moving forward on impact, they just bent/flexed beyond the point that even RPM can withstand.

If I had it to do again, I would definitely run the true-track arms on the rear. Removes wear points on the turnbuckle pivot balls and also gets the turnbuckle out of the way making it easier to get at the engine cradle bolts.

yup after talking to everybody on here tonight i am definately going with rpm arms and tru tracs. thanks to evryone.

i have had the tru tracks on for about 3 days now and i have bashed the heck out of it i love how well they hold up.
