man... lemme tell you about today.... took the hbx out for a rip, burnt thru 2 packs and as I'm headed to the house a car passes me and i decide to race em... well i was winning but then i ran into a parked car... kablooey..

like i say in vid easy fix for real.
but i have other cars so I'm not worried..
put some tires on the bouncer, the hub is huge so most of my rims dont fit, got lucky and the wheels from the ecto ('the old man") take it for a bash and notice i have a shock just hanging loose.. ripped it free.

so i swap them both out for a set of the elements that came on the ecto, its running again yaaaaaay!!

but wait theres more.... i rip around the dirt drive and am headed back to the house again.... (pattern forming) hit the curb, rolls right over doesn't seem to be a bad hit other than was head on and not at an angle.. but wait whats that tinking sound?? why its my steering links of course

little bummed out but i am rough on em and honestly i enjoy the repairing when I'm able to finally understand how to do it so I'm not tooooooo upset..
then i get the set of front wheels for the cen in. o yeah forgot to ever order the right size tires.. fml will i not stop ?? no theres more work to be done, so i take the old man, my last running truck out to the course. run for 20 mins, have a blast. go to leave... headed to the house.... o snap. you guessed it.. drove into some tall grass and I'm guessing it wrapped around the axle or driveshaft? i gotno go now. it makes a gears grinding sound. I'm about to pull apart some stuff and things to see the actual damage. I'm guessing i stripped out a gear.

cen-- down for tires
basecamp-- down for axle repair
bouncer-- down for link repair
ecto-- down for trans repair..
scx24-- down for esc issue
ax24--- well it works but only because my son wont let me play with it... smart kid

Sorry for your luck. Sounds like you need a backup car for such occasions. 🤣🤣

I know the feeling.
my backups need backups lol, i did swap links out so can at least run the bouncer... wonder what the cen motor would do in it?

i was able to repair em all.. fml but i love this hobby

bouncer---- so i had some spare links from who knows where, swapped the end piece out and she runs
hbx--- reinstalled the stuff, still need a wheel, not able to repair that, it hit hard lol
old man---- had a grub screw back out, relocked it with some blue and threw her back in
they are all rolling and ready for more carnage
cen put a

I've heard the arrma gorgon is pretty tough. and brushless ready... thinking i may need one of those, or a tank... i need tough stuff

on our way to being repaired.
hbx went for a rip today, it needed new tires anyways.
got the axle for the basecamp. decided to just go with the cheaper method
factory axle case and also waiting on a bowhouse rc panhard mount reinforcement bracket. but not getting the bracket for a week or so.
still waiting on
cen f450 rims ( plastic factory rims beadlocks are insane!!)
2.2 tires for the cen
and got a set of jconcepts megalithics with injora silicone inserts to try out on the old man. pretty stoked for him to have a decent set of wheels on again

also decided i kind of really like the old man as a dually. so i ordered a dually kit, i thought about just making my own as it seems pretty simple. but then i remembered I'm a lazy bastard and will end up not getting around to it or simply doing it wrong so went the lazy method and bought

RC Dually Conversion Kit - Single Wheel to Two Wheel Conversion Kit for Flatbed Hauler T6 G63 TRX6

the review pics show it on non traxxas cars so hopefully it will work for the ecto

I did something similar to my nitro street force. We were running them on a large mostly empty parking lot. They were cars on the far end so I thought I be ok. I was doing laps and kept pushing it out further and further until I stuffed it under a tire. Lots of damage and couldnt get all the parts because the were under the car !! :-(
