Kinda threw me because you said the spur gear moved.. Sucks you can't play with it, but at least it is an east repair!!

It did move that's what got me to. After I put the trans back in it still would spin, that's when I grabbed it and rev'd the motor- nothing. That's when I took the flywheel off.
Thanks guys

Got the clutch in and five heat cycles done tonight. My son had a huge smile getting to drive it in circles around the shop.
I need to get some replacement air filters, what do you all suggest? What do you think of the long life, are they worth it?

Thanks, I seen that and the 1 with the pre filter n didn't know how much diff. it made. Have you had good luck with that 1?

Spend the extra few $ and go with the motor saver air filters and never look back

So we got the motor all broke in today. We had a little snow last night but what the heck, so we took it out to the road. Ran strong but when we would go WOT for a short time it would stall. I richened it up but we lost the steering. The other 2 still work, so could we have got it wet and if so will it come back when it dries out?

Id probably take them apart. Or put them in a bowl of rice overnight. May come back. There are ways to water proof them and they sell waterproof servos too. Trx 2075 is to my knowledge the strongest servo traxxas makes. There are way more powerful servos out there. I'm running an 8 dollar servo on my maxx. 2x as powerful as the traxxas servo. 210 ox I think. I will link it.

There are some guys from the savage forum that are running them on 5.9 xl

Go for the 2075 but they do still fail ,had 2 go this week.
Savox makes a decent wp servo for around 40 bucks

I looked at the servo and it is some brand called hot bodies HS-2. I got it in the house to dry off, but I think I will get a 2075.
Another question how strong are the brakes suppose to be? will they lock up the wheels or just slow to a stop?

if it has a black tranny go for a foc if its grey ,then you have a problem.
the 2075 servos work great in any swb truck and I'm sure you can mod them with futaba steel gears ,I got to look at that.

Here's what I'm running for steering & brakes, 230oz MG.

The FOC will eliminate the bucking.

As for the brakes, they can be adjusted to your liking, too tight and it will front flip when you hit'em hard.
You can mod them too, double the outside pad, put some cut down pen springs between the pads, and put a spring on the brake rod instead the tube.
You can even put the AE MGT brake pads & disc on it.

ya I would try 1, with my son driving we will need all the brake we can get LOL. I did order a extra servo you linked, to use on the brake-throttle.
Thanks Man

I have a brand new truck I just got. I will rob the goods off it and get it out tomorrow.

when doing the spring swap on the brake linkadge you must use a really really stiff lil sob for the mod to be a mod
