Again I am a total noon with nitro cars...

With dat said... Am I missing something?... I'm having lots of fun with my Jato 3.3 but I am very scared take my rc out... I mean this thing iz super fast but it doesn't stop!... I slam on da breaks n she'll go several yards with out stopping... I've adjusted da break pin... At 1 point had them so tight da wheels don't move freely... I know dat can't be good... What else can be done?

dat is hard da rede....make sure your linkages are adjusted properly firsat off...i usually turn on the rc and loosen all the slide stop things so everything is kind of in its neutral position and adjust everything from there...make sure your servo is pulling the brake lever properly...the linkage and servo are all there is to your brakes....other than the brakes themselves...if there is something wrong a quick inspection should reveal the problem pretty easily....but like i tell everyone....

don't know anything about hot racing brand stuff....probably ok but id say you have some other problem if you said you could get the brakes on it tight enough that it won't roll...how old is the kit...i have several trucks that have been used a LOT and i have never had brakes wear out on me...i have had the breaks completely fall apart on my savage once...lol

My Jato iz brand new... Completely stock. Da only thing I've adjusted was da Brake tension adjuster... Iz there something else I can adjust?

what exactly are you refering to as the brake tension adjuster....
you shouldn't need any brake upgrade in my opinion stock is all you need....you should be able to make it do a front flip with stock brake setup...you just need to adjust all you linkages and maybe screw around with your throttle/brake trim...you just got to look at everything and understand what its supposed to be doin and what it is doin and start screwin with it...i don't know what to tell you other than adjust you linkage and trim and stuff....if its brand new the brakes should be good....but sometimes on rtr's the linkages aren't quite right...

yea that too....all mine have came with the small piece of fuel line already in place..

I thought that lil black nob at the end of the linkages was call that... lol... at least thats what the book calls it... well i turned dat to tighten it up but still doesn't stop the car... the breaks are almost non existant its driving me crazy. I am going to try a piece of the fuel line... I havent had a chance to pick up any extra tubing. but the line from the tank to the engine its pretty long it loops a few times... does it really have to be dat long?... about how long should I cut da tube to place on the linkage?

if you look at your brake pad the metal peice on the outside of the pad has the 2 screws in it if that metal plate feals too loose than you might need to tighten those 2 screws up alittle at a time so that it actually grabs the pad I have gotten a new rtr and those screws were alittle losse and the rig didnt stop when it was suposed to .. good luck

Didn't even think to mess with those... Gotta give dat a try 2nite... Thanks

yea my stampede already had the hose on there also but for some reason jato's have that cheesey little spring. fuel line is defintly the way to go it will lock the rear tires up in a instantly just don't try to jam on the brakes going into a corner or it will spin around on ya.

Ok so nothing seems 2 work... It slows down a lil more then it did b4 but nothing dramatic. I still haven't tried da fuel line trick... But my new breaks should b here by end of day...

Let u guys know how it turns out...
