I'm going to be installing an OS 20E carb on my Hyper 8 port, & was wondering what the needle setting should be for breakin... I've already run about 7 tanks through it with the stock Ofna carb, but will be swithing in a few days. Can anyone guide me in the right direction ? I know RobH mentioned something about the settings...
Thanks in advance...

sounds you have it broken-in. that's good. i don't suggest any try to break in the 8-port with the upgraded OS 20e carb. you should do the break-in with the stock carb.

that being said, the OS 20e Carb Settings:

Base-Line HSN Setting: 3 turns counter-clockwise from lightly seated
Base-Line LSN Setting: 1 turn clockwise from flush with the carb housing

if you need more detailed info, here where I got it from: (OS Max .21 RG Manual)

TJ, it's gonna be rich as a mofo with those settings. It won't even idel on it's own or move without dieing. I set my throttle trim really high to keep it running, then I'd give it gas and see if it choked and died. if so, i'd turn the LSN clockwise a bit. Your just trying to get the car to move. After it does move (doesn't die when you give it gas), get it as warm as you can and then start tuning, adjusting the HSN first, of course.

Yep, that sounds right. I set my HSN 3 turns out from bottom and the LSN 4 turns out from bottom. It was on the rich side. Most likely you'll be about 2-1/2 to 3 turns out on the high side & like he said on the low- about 1-1/2 turns in from flush. At least that's my current setup with the 8 port race & OS20e carb. Now I need to get some more time on it.

I guess your not gonna be jumping off any 40ft cliffs with this puppy. We should break that video out again....boy those were the days....LOL

One thing I have learned from Imbroken, is he has no fear when it comes to RC. He will jump anything....he doesn't care how much it cost him to make his truck pretty...he will bash the hell out of it.

I on the other hand am a bit wimpy LOL
