break in

Ok so I'm sure this has been posted but I can't find it. What is the best way to break in a savy 4.6? By the book or is there a better way? This will be my first actual break in. My other nitro vehicles have been used.

You can either do it by the book, or use the heat cycle break in method.

So to run it slightly rich would I wanna lean from factory or richin it?

I always go by the book and use the manufacturer's method. They built the thing they would be the best ones to know how to break it in.
