I just mounted a losi 454 on a Losi 8ight-t 2.0. What is the best way to break-in this engine? Heat cycles or Losi proceedure?

Oh yeah! also, what do y'all think of this engine?

The heat-cycle method is best imo.

just out of interest, what is the losi proceedure?

I would do some heat cycles, THEN the losi or traxxas method. The 454 is an excellent engine, you will love it. It rivals the more expensive engines and (I'm sure you know already) it's a clone of the lrp z28/sh28. It pushes my 13lb xxl along quite well.

I did the Losi procedure, and it worked great. I'll probably use the heat cycle break-in next though. You'll be happy with that motor, around the eighth or ninth tank, that baby will really start to wake up. I have it in my Ofna Mutilator truggy, which is a heavy S.O.B., and a single speed transmission, and she really screams.
