I too have herd and read several threads about running heli fuel. Perhaps those that aren't broken in correctly need to run the eli fuel?

Perhaps doi to the porting and temp requirments for the large of an engine, the heli fuel keeps it at the right temp..

I always try to comapre things. Just as for 1/1 cars little four cylinders seem to run hot very hot, and if forced to run cool performance will suffer Their larger cousins run much cooler for performance and longevity

Perhaps the size of the engine and it's cooling charachteristics account for the problems, and the heli fuel. If yu do have tunning problems after break I would definetaly suggest the fuel

It rained all day today, so there's no update.
Helis get a limited air flow from a small turbo fan mounted with the flywheel and covered with a shroud similar to a lawn mower engine. That's the reason they use a special blend of oils in their fuel. However, the engines seem to last forever, and never seem to need a tweaking once they are broken in.
Start 'em and fly.

We had a major cold snap and it got down to 39. Ran tank #10 today, and because of the cold, I didn't lean it out. It was hard to keep the front end down. It starts quick, idles nice, and doesn't stall.
When he was down to less than 1/4 tank left, he blew the rear diff.
